Call Tracking and Revenue Attribution Market Pricing, 2026
Research by Raven, Research/Intel Lead. Sources cited per number. Perplexity sonar-pro, queried 2026-08-02. Where a vendor gates pricing behind a demo or sales call, that is stated explicitly rather than estimated.

Note on CallTrackingMetrics: the $65/mo, $0.04/min, and $2/number figures come from a single third-party comparison table (Nimbata), not from CallTrackingMetrics' own pricing page, which routes to a sales/demo flow. Treat these as directional, not confirmed.
Note on Invoca: Pro, Enterprise, and Elite tier names are published; no dollar figures are. Third-party sources describe Signal AI, PreSense, and Quality Management as add-ons on Pro and included on Enterprise, again with no price attached.

2. How they price, and where the real money is made
Every platform in this set runs a base subscription plus metered usage model. None of the ten charge a single flat number. The base tier buys you a monthly platform fee, a small bundle of included numbers and minutes, and a feature ceiling. Above that ceiling, everything is metered:
- Per-minute call charges, separately for local vs toll-free, and often separately for inbound vs outbound (TrackDrive breaks these out explicitly).
- Per-number monthly rental, again split local vs toll-free.
- Transcription, billed per minute, on every platform that publishes a rate (WhatConverts $0.02/min, Ringba $0.035-0.04/min, TrackDrive $0.02-0.05/min, Nimbata $0.02/min). This is never bundled unlimited into a base plan.
- AI call scoring / conversation intelligence, the least consistently priced item in the whole market. Some vendors bundle it into a mid or top tier (CallRail Lead Conversion, Nimbata Agency/Marketing/Pro), some sell it as a metered add-on (Ringba Voice Agents at $0.05/min), and some don't offer it at all in the public product (TrackDrive: "AI Scoring: No").
Nimbata is the outlier in billing mechanics: it charges per answered call, not per minute, on every tier. Every other platform researched bills per minute.
Where the money actually is: for a high-volume operator, minutes and numbers are the largest recurring line, not the subscription. Ringba's own pricing page prices Business at $147/mo but every call, every number, every minute of recording and transcription is metered on top. A Ringba operator running 4,000 tracked calls a month was modeled by an independent operator guide at $300-500/mo in effective platform cost, none of which is the $147 subscription line (https://elevarus.com/ringba-vs-retreaver-vs-invoca-call-tracking/, seen 2026-05-18). The subscription is the door charge. Usage is the bill.
AI scoring specifically is being used as an upsell wedge: CallRail's cheapest AI tier is $150/mo, three times its $50/mo entry price, specifically to gate AI conversation intelligence behind a 3x price jump.
3. The revenue attribution subset (Mike's closest direct competitor set)
Most of the ten platforms above are call trackers or lead trackers, not revenue attributors. Call counting, sentiment scoring, and lead scoring are not the same claim as tying a call to a closed-dollar-value sale. Based on public marketing language and third-party comparison coverage, the vendors that explicitly claim closed-loop revenue attribution (a call tied to a sale amount or CRM deal value) are:
| Vendor | Attribution claim | Public price for the attribution feature itself |
|---|---|---|
| Invoca | AI signals, offline conversion import, revenue reporting | Not broken out, custom quote only |
| CallRail | Marketing attribution, "conversations driving results"; third parties describe closed-loop support | Not broken out; base plan $45-50/mo, Conversation Intelligence add-on cited around $95/mo+ in some third-party pricing histories |
| WhatConverts | Ties calls, forms, chats, transactions to lead value | Not broken out; base plan $30/mo |
| Ringba | Pay-per-call attribution with revenue workflows | Not broken out; base plan $147/mo |
| Retreaver | Own page explicitly defines revenue attribution as crediting a conversion/sale to its originating channel | Not broken out, no public starting price found |
| Infinity | Smart Match call attribution, call revenue tracking, CRM integration | Not broken out; third-party starting price cited at $249/mo |
| Ruler Analytics | Lead-to-revenue attribution, first touch through CRM revenue | Not broken out; third-party starting price cited at $400/mo |

The important finding: no vendor in this list publishes a standalone price for the revenue-attribution capability itself. It is always bundled into a base subscription or an enterprise quote. Nobody sells "revenue attribution" as a line item with its own price tag. That is a gap Mike could fill by naming the number directly, since none of his direct comps do.
Ruler Analytics and Invoca are the two vendors whose public marketing language is the most explicit about closed-loop, CRM-linked revenue (not just campaign or source attribution). WhatConverts is the closest thing to a mid-market, self-serve, fully public-priced version of this claim, at $30-160/mo before usage.
4. The pay-per-call and lead-gen agency segment (ICP B)
Ringba, Retreaver, TrackDrive, and Phonexa are the four platforms this segment actually runs on. Only Ringba and TrackDrive publish detailed rate cards; Retreaver and Phonexa are demo/quote-gated in 2026.
What agencies pay (platform cost, treated as their COGS):
- Ringba: $147-297/mo base plus $0.05-0.06/min and $2-4/number, all metered.
- TrackDrive: no flat fee, minimum monthly commitment tiers from Pay As You Go up to $8,000/mo, with per-minute, per-number, and per-action rates that improve at each commitment tier.
- Retreaver: no official rate card; third-party listings put pay-as-you-go around $0.05/min and roughly $1/number/mo, but this is not sourced to Retreaver's own page.
- Phonexa: fully custom, quote-based bundles; no public per-call or per-minute number exists in any source checked.
How agencies charge their own clients: this is genuinely not published anywhere as a rate card. Every source consulted was explicit that this is industry structure, not a public number. The consistent pattern across operator guides and comparison content:
- Per-call or per-lead payout is the dominant model. Advertisers agree to pay a fixed price per qualified call or lead; the agency's platform costs (Ringba minutes, TrackDrive commit tier) are absorbed into that payout and never itemized to the advertiser.
- Percentage of ad spend is plausible by analogy to standard performance-agency practice (commonly 10-20% in the broader industry) but no source ties a specific percentage to Ringba, Retreaver, TrackDrive, or Phonexa specifically. This is inference, not a documented rate.
- Retainers and monthly minimums show up structurally: TrackDrive's own commitment tiers (up to $8,000/mo) push agencies toward guaranteeing their own advertiser-side minimums to cover the platform floor.
One modeled data point on the scale of markup: an operator guide comparing Ringba, Retreaver, and Invoca estimated that at roughly 4,000 tracked calls/month (about $25k in call value), Ringba's effective platform cost runs $300-500/mo, and at roughly 15,000 tracked calls/month (about $100k in call value), effective platform cost runs $1,200-3,000/mo (https://elevarus.com/ringba-vs-retreaver-vs-invoca-call-tracking/, seen 2026-05-18). Platform cost is consistently a small fraction, low single-digit percent, of total call value at these volumes. The gap between platform cost and call value implies a large markup on a per-call basis, but that is modeled economics, not a disclosed agency rate card. No vendor or agency publishes "typical markup," "standard reseller pricing," or a suggested per-call margin.

5. AI call analysis pricing specifically
Split into two distinct markets: raw transcription APIs (cheap, commoditized) and full AI conversation intelligence/scoring layers (expensive, bundled into SaaS plans, rarely priced per minute).
Raw transcription, per minute
| Provider | Rate | Source |
|---|---|---|
| AssemblyAI Universal-2 (async) | $0.15/hr = $0.0025/min | https://www.assemblyai.com/pricing, seen 2026-06-21 |
| AssemblyAI Universal-3 Pro (async) | $0.21/hr = $0.0035/min | https://www.assemblyai.com/blog/speech-to-text-api-pricing, seen 2026-05-31 |
| AssemblyAI Universal-Streaming (real-time) | $0.15/hr = $0.0025/min | https://voxrater.com/vendors/assemblyai/, seen 2026-05-31 |
| AssemblyAI Universal-3 Pro Streaming | $0.45/hr = $0.0075/min | https://www.assemblyai.com/blog/speech-to-text-api-pricing, seen 2026-05-31 |
| AssemblyAI Voice Agent API | $4.50/hr = $0.075/min | https://www.assemblyai.com/docs/billing-and-pricing, seen 2026-05-31 |
| Deepgram Nova-3 (pre-recorded) | $0.0043/min | https://www.buildmvpfast.com/api-costs/transcription, seen 2026-07-10 |
| Deepgram Nova-3 (streaming) | $0.0077/min | same, seen 2026-07-10 |
| Rev (human transcription) | $1.99/min | cited via https://www.assemblyai.com/blog/assemblyai-vs-rev-ai, seen 2026-03-12 |
| Otter.ai | Not comparable, seat-based SaaS, no public per-minute API rate found | n/a |
Raw transcription is a two-to-four-orders-of-magnitude cheaper commodity than the platforms in section 1 charge for the same feature. BirdsEye's own stack (AssemblyAI Universal-2) runs roughly $0.0025/min in raw API cost. Ringba charges $0.035-0.04/min for the same transcription step, roughly 14-16x the underlying API cost. WhatConverts and Nimbata charge $0.02/min, roughly 8x the underlying cost. That spread is where call-tracking vendors make their transcription margin.
AI conversation intelligence / scoring layers
CallRail Conversion Intelligence, Invoca Signal AI, Convoso, Gong, and Chorus were all checked. None publish a per-minute or per-call rate for their AI scoring layer. All five price this as a bundled SaaS tier (per-account or per-seat, often annual contract) or gate it entirely behind "contact sales." This is a genuine and confirmed gap: nobody in the AI-conversation-intelligence tier discloses a metered unit price the way raw transcription vendors do.
6. Where BirdsEye could sit, and why
Reasoning shown, not a recommendation to act on without Mike's sign-off:
BirdsEye already does two things most of this market does separately and charges separately for: it unifies multiple call tracking providers into one log (nobody else in this list does that at all, Twilio, SignalWire, CallFire, and CallRail feeding one system), and it ties every call to a dollar figure at the niche and service level, which section 3 shows nobody prices as a standalone, named feature.
On raw cost structure, BirdsEye is closer to the transcription vendors than to the call-tracking vendors. Its actual AI cost per call is the AssemblyAI rate (~$0.0025/min) plus a Claude Opus 4.6 call for structured extraction, both far below what CallRail, Ringba, or WhatConverts charge their customers for the equivalent step. That gap, between what the underlying AI/transcription actually costs and what the market charges for it wrapped in a dashboard, is the same margin every vendor in section 1 is already capturing. BirdsEye is not unusual for having it; it is unusual for being able to see it clearly (13 dedicated AI caller-intelligence fields per call, no comparable vendor publishes that granularity).
On market positioning, three lanes are visible:
Self-serve mid-market lane (WhatConverts $30-160/mo, Nimbata $0-149/mo, CallRail $50-195/mo): fully public pricing, base subscription plus heavy metering, AI features gated behind a 2-4x price jump to a mid or top tier. This is the crowded lane. A new entrant here competes on price transparency and undercutting the AI-tier markup.
Pay-per-call agency infrastructure lane (Ringba, Retreaver, TrackDrive, Phonexa): usage-first, minimum-commitment pricing, sold to agencies as COGS. This lane is not about a dashboard, it is about routing and RTB at volume. BirdsEye's 200+ forwarding rules and 13 call flow types put it in reach of this lane structurally, but none of the vendors here compete on revenue attribution, they compete on call routing and volume discounts.
Revenue attribution lane (section 3): the least crowded and least price-transparent lane in the whole market. Seven vendors claim it, zero price it as a standalone feature. This is the lane where BirdsEye's core claim, "most call tracking tells you the phone rang, BirdsEye tells you which ring paid," has no direct pricing precedent to anchor against or undercut. That is both the opportunity (no incumbent price to compete with) and the risk (no market-validated price point to copy).
No number in this document should be read as a recommended BirdsEye price. That decision needs Mike, and should weigh against BirdsEye's real cost basis (AssemblyAI + Claude Opus 4.6 API cost, Supabase, Vercel), not just competitor sticker prices, since sections 2 and 5 show competitor sticker prices systematically understate their true usage-based total cost to a customer.
Watch list
- CallTrackingMetrics and Invoca both moved to fully or mostly gated pricing in 2026. If either publishes a public rate card later, re-check for AI-tier pricing signal.
- Phonexa's pricing page (https://phonexa.com/pricing/) exists but returned no dollar figures in this research pass. Worth a direct manual pull if agency-segment pricing becomes decision-relevant.
- No vendor in the revenue-attribution subset (section 3) prices that capability standalone as of 2026-08-02. Re-check in 6 months; if one starts, that number becomes the market anchor BirdsEye should price against directly.
- AssemblyAI and Deepgram rates are commodity and trending down; re-check before finalizing any BirdsEye cost-plus pricing model, since the underlying API cost is the floor, not the ceiling.
